A magical and almost sacred quality is brought out as the frames illuminate. The stills come into life through the projections. In those very precious instances, the memory plays before our eyes as if coming to life. As the light from the projection shines onto the sculpture, it decreases in brightness as it passes through each layer of the supposed photo frame, and creates an interesting visual illusion when viewed from the sides.

Down Memory Lane
โท PROJECTION MAPPING
โท INSTALLATION
This is a 4D project centered around the theme of memory. Its aim is to convey the concept of memory fragments and how they rekindle cherished moments from my youth. Childhood videos from my archives are projected onto a physical sculpture, creating layers of frames that undergo varying degrees and methods of distortion. This distortion represents the gradual fading of memories over time, as they drift further from reality. The frames, reminiscent of photographs in size, allude to the idea that photographs aid in preserving different aspects of memories, capturing them in a specific moment. When these 4 by 4 frames are assembled, they form a large projection screen akin to a television, emphasizing that videos serve as another means of documenting the past for us to revisit.
