Nostalgic Whispers

✷ poster design
✷ interactive design

The catalyst for my exploration into collecting was a childhood memory: a toy knife slicing a tomato in half. These moments prompted my fascination with the significance of childhood playdates as a gateway to understanding the world, driving my desire for further exploration.

This exploration culminated in the creation of two distinctive posters. The first poster adopts a whimsical approach, presenting my collection into a playful dining experience that echoes the spirit of childhood 'playing house.’ The second poster delicately alludes to my collection through the silhouettes of kitchen items, preserving a nostalgic tribute to my past, specifically to the cherished memories of my childhood kitchen. It evokes a wistful sense of nostalgia and offers a window into an era long gone.

In the project's final phase, my goal was to highlight the essence of childhood nostalgia within my collection. I transformed it into a children's book, aiming to capture the interactive charm found in these tactile reads. Using magnets, I endeavored to revive the hands-on experience that children often enjoy in such books. This effort signifies both the conclusion and the embodiment of my nostalgic journey into childhood memories and their artistic rendition.
